I’m looking for someone who is an osCommerce/PHP expert, speaks English, and can communicate with me on a daily basis regarding the status of the project.
My website is an osCommerce website, but I’ve added a lot of contributions and customizations to the website, so it isn’t a stock osCommerce website. This is why I need a programmer who is very knowledgeable with PHP.
1. I have a large product database over 100,000 records. I split the file into 4 different .tab files broken out by product type. So my .tab file sizes range from 8MB to 50MB.
Currently, I FTP the .tab files to a directory on my host site. Then I have a script on the admin side of my website that let’s me browse for the .tab files and let’s me upload the .tab files one by one to my website. This process works ok, but for the larger .tab files it gets timed-out and is slow to upload the files.
I’m looking for someone to either use the current method, but make it work faster and better so it doesn’t time out.
Or come up with an easier/faster different method to do this. Maybe even create small software application to handle uploads to the website, edits to the current products, deletions from the website, etc…. I like trying to create the software application because I think it might work better.
2. I’m receiving the following error message that needs to be fixed:
1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ') and p2c.products_id = p.products_id and p2c.categories_id = '
My website was working fine, and I deleted all my products from my tables using phpMyAdmin and then when I tried uploading my products again I got this message. This is something that can probably be easy to fix.
3. Since I added most of the 100,000 products to my website I’ve been noticing that my website has gotten slower. I would like you to increase the load speed of my website by whatever way you can, either by using indexes or whatever other methods you know.
Thank you, and Happy Bidding!!!
