{Note: this job is a fresh/reduced version of one previous posted -- thank you to all those who placed a bid!! This job is OPEN and needs to be done, so this is the fresh version with less tasks and a bigger bidding range}
It is a translation job from C# to C++. The good thing about this task is that it is already defined in working code.
It requires excellent C++/C# skills and the ability to impliment custom interface handlers when hosting the IE contol. The big thing is to get rid of the .NET dependencies, so we can do XCOPY installs and it will run faster.
I have zipped and uploaded the code so you can have a look at it. It complies and works with VS-2008-beta.
The C# App hosts the IE Web Browser control with the security turned off ~ like windows does for Hyper Text Applications (HTAs, ActiveX runs without any warnings). All of the C# App's User Interface is given over to the hosted IE Browser control.
For Part(1) What I need done is to have the App converted from C# to C++ so it runs without needing .NET installed.
For Part(2) There is one C# class called "[login to view URL]" which I call from script via [login to view URL]() which also needs translating. [login to view URL] does things like: checking if a file exists, read/write text to a file, making a
list of files/folders, Listing available fonts, iterating/indexing over a collection of xml files and making other xml files. In [login to view URL] there are some command line calls to SQLite that need to be done a better way, using LiteX++ from <[login to view URL]>
C++ code for Part(1) may already exist - because IE is C++ anyway and that's where the primary documentation and examples exist. I figured Part (2) can be done by seperating [login to view URL] out into a C#/COMinterop ActiveX object, getting that working (stage 1.5) and then rewritting that same thing in C++.
## Deliverables
The job would be good for someone with excellent C++/C# skills who knows the internal options for hosting the IE Browser control.
