DirectX 8 Web Browser / Email Reader Program

The mission is to create a web browser and pop3 email reader that has a full screen GUI entirely in DirectX 8. The browser does not need java / jscript or other web based scripting language support, but if it can be included it will add a great deal of value to the project. The obtaining of data must be entirely winsock (or lower level), we cannot depend on any Windows gui based components. This program will eventually be ported to a set top box type device. The gui needs to be able to fit onto a standard pal / ntsc display so no resolution higher than 640x480 at the moment. Coder must be happy for the program to possibly become open source. Any coders that have knowledge of the XBOX games console will have an advantage. There is no timescale, frequent updates will be required. This project is potentially ongoing and may become integrated into other projects. The coder is permitted to use code from other non-copyright web browsers.

## Deliverables

1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased. 3) Commented code on all mayor modules.

## Platform

Windows 2000, DirectX 8. NO WINDOWS GUI, GUI must be entirely DirectX8 Full Screen Based. No Windows IE or similar components can be used. Code must be potentially be portable to a non-windows GUI based platform that only has DirectX8 and Winsock available.
