Internet Chat Client and Server

Programmer experienced with Winsock. Internet chat client system that interacts with a server module. The chat client is already written (interface and certain non-network functionality) The client is written in Visual Basic 6.0 and interaction consists between textboxes,listboxes and labels Open to the server portions being written in either VB 6.0 or C++; whatever can handle the most users and rooms. The client needs to stay VB 6.0. Once connected to server, client will have the ability to move to and from various chat rooms using a command button, the rooms must already be configured and running on the server. I have all the layout of functionality in two separate Visual Basic forms, so that you can see exactly what needs to be done on both the client and server. I will forward the layout on the forms to the person I select. As far as the rooms and being pre-configured, I don't really care if the rooms are all active at once or initialize only when some enters it, as long as it works. SERVER (acts a server for client chats, also tracks data) Server must have start and stop services option (On-Off switch) Server must be able to host numerous chat rooms Server must be able to host numerous clients attaching to it Server interface must show total number of users logged in (with current # of users) Server must show all users logged in; in a list box (All users logged in ; login name in a list box) Admin on Server must be able to move from room to room, just as clients can, to monitor chat Admin on Server must have ability to "boot" user(s) from the system (select and break their connection) Admin on Server must have the same chat functionality as client as well as system broadcasts Should have a Admin Client that attaches to server to monitor all this. CLIENT (Users can move in between chat rooms, chat, and exchange listbox words) Client must log on to server and chat in current room Client must be able to move in and out of various predefined chat rooms Client must be able to see others who are in current chat room (in a list box on client) Client must be able to whisper (Chat Specifically) to another person in chat room (in textbox on client) Client must be able to move words (ie "Dog") that are in each users private list box to another private list box. You should clarify any questions you have before bidding. I will need a lot of rooms with support for many clients attaching. ## Deliverables Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. Complete copyrights to all work purchased. ## Deadline information Since it's not a very complicated project and most of the source is already out there on source code sites I would hope it would not take very long, but I am easy to get along with.
