IVR - Voice Greetings server - Send a song application

The application should have following building blocks 1. A server where various songs (in MP3 or any other suitable format) are stored & indexed & classified in to various categories 2. A facility where the end user can dial in to the application & connect to the same over IVR (Interactive Voice Response) The application should provide following functionality for the end user. 1. A user can dial in to a given number & can get connected to the application with IVR (Interactive Voice Response) as a main User Interface 2. The user can browse (over IVR) through the categories of the songs & can listen to a desired song. 3. The user can select a particular song. 4. The user can record his voice message to personalize the song. 5. The user is prompted to give the telephone number of his friend to whom he wants to send this song to 6. The user ends his session (hangs up) once selected the song, personalized it & given his friends telephone number. 7. The application informs user’s friend either by making a voice call or by SMS to user’s friend that there is a song gifted to him by the user & the telephone number where he can call & listen to the song. 8. User’s friend can dial the given number in the message & can hear the personalized message along with the song. 9. The application informs the user (over SMS/ Voice call) that his song has been delivered to and listened by his friend 10. The application should have one option where the user can enter some phone numbers (separated by pound key “#?? or star * if the user submits several). The application should take this as a input and transmit through http to a given url in the format to be decided later on. The url format should be configurable at the system level. ## Deliverables The application should provide following functionality for the end user. 1. The application should have following features 1. The length of the song (time) & the length of the personalized message(time) should be decided by the parameters within the application & these parameters should be configurable at the system level. 2. The voice prompts (or the voice messages) for the IVR should be configurable at the system level. 3. The categories of the songs & the list of songs etc. should be configurable at the system level. 4. The scalability of the system in terms of how many simultaneous users it can handle should be configurable at the system level. 5. The hardware requirements for the application should be specified with the suggested manufacturers names & contact details. 6. This system should be capable of connecting directly to the infrastructure of a GSM and CDMA mobile telephone operators using standard interfaces. The SMS delivery can be taken care of by us. The application should have a provision to post the messages to a configurable HTTP url given by us. And we thus would take care of the SMS delivery. 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Should run on Linux, use only open-source, royaltie-free third party software if any. The favored programming language is Java. If other language is proposed, please justify and explain. The programmer should explain which hardware should the application work with in order to handle the voice calls of the users. The programmer should specify how many users per hour and how many simultaneous users the system could take. The system should be scalable by adding up hardware power (additional servers) and that scalability documented.
