Below is the case study._** **CASE STUDY** Test ICT Services Limited provides computer and communications infrastructure support to a number of small to medium size enterprises in South East Paris. The company maintains local and wide area networks, industry standard PCs, telephone switches, printers and other associated devices. It also supports standard software such as Windows and Office. The company has two directors and the turnover for the first year of trading was approximately 350,000(euros). Although experts in their own field, the directors and staff of South London IT Services have little or no accounting knowledge. The only records they have kept are what they refer to as the ‘Day Book’ or journal. The directors now wish to implement an accounting package and to transfer the ‘day book’ transactions into the chosen package. You are required to prepare a report, of between 1,500 and 2,000 words, for the directors of the company. The report should cover: • A description of the main accounting processes required by the business • A review of at least three accounting packages that would meet the needs of the business • Your recommended package, together with reasons for your recommendation • Your recommended process for entering the ‘day book’ transactions into the package. The report is to be word processed, academically referenced and should include diagrams and / or charts to help explain the processes. Your report will be assessed according to content and layout, standard of English and its appropriateness for the intended recipients, and the practicability of your proposals. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
