I'm a web developer myself and have some overflow work that I don't have time to do myself but don't want to turn down.
I believe that this work could comfortably be done within 20 hours and I am prepared to pay about $5USD per hour.
I have been given a new design (will be supplied as psd file) which will be pretty basic html and css. The client would like the site to function like:
t h e w h i t e a g e n c y . c o m . a u (please remove the spaces and view the site).
As you can see the menu pops-out onmouseover and the menu items change using sprites. When you select a menu item the content loads via ajax (or ajah, I haven't checked) and the url changes (so that the back button works).
The other point to note about the menu is, when viewed on a screen that is about 800px high the menu has up and down arrows at the bottom.
I don't want to copy the code from the domain mentioned above because it's theirs so I think that it would be a good idea to re-write the code using jQuery. I've taken a quick look and everything seems reasonably straight forward to do in jQuery.
I also think that there can be improvements made to the code in the domain mentioned above.
I also need the html and css to be built with a cms in mind (although I will do the integration into the cms, I only require the html and css template producing at this stage).
I will also need this site to rank in the search engines using the following:
[url removed, login to view]
I have not had final go-ahead from my client yet (I am expecting this in the next 2-3 days).
If you would like to express your interest in this project you will need good written and spoken English.
Please reply letting me know your understanding of the project (so that I know that you have understood my bad English).
I will select a developer based upon their ability to demonstrate an understanding of the project. If you are able to show previous ajax work that you have done, that would be great.
I would prefer to make regular progress payments at agreed milestones in the project.
The work would need to be completed within 7 days (5 working days) from commencement.
I mentioned that I have an overflow of work. I'm hoping that this continues and so I am ideally looking for someone who would be interested in a long term arrangement, but at this stage I can promise that, this will happen.
P.S. Please let me know if you have any experience with CMSs, especially modx. Thanks.
