In the process of learning MS Access and am seeking help on a "correctly" setting up the DB to allow me to move forward. Particular assistance needed with DB structure and relationships. I've searched numberous books, online, etc. and there is not a whole lot of information on DB setup and relationship. There are the usual "customer" or "student" database examples, but my sample is a bit more complicated than these. Sample company CompleteCo is a global company. They build electronic products. They purchase parts from multiple vendors and prices are negotiated with these vendors on a quarterly basis (in other words the price changes). Similarly, CompleteCo's global offices submit volume forecasts of product they need in the coming quarter. So, the DB needs to track historical prices per part and volumes from each group. The idea is that once the data is entered, I can graph and track historical part prices and volumes. I'm simply having trouble setting up the relationship between all of these components. Looking for an assist!
