(see attached zip for screen shot) Detailed Items Sales Reports & Projections We have a rather complex set of 17 databases which interact to form a customer database, order entry, warranty registration, product database, etc... Orders are created in a database which links to "Line Items," the database where each and every item ordered resides. Line items has unique numerical Order ID relation to "Orders" and includes fields for creation date, modification date, item reference, description, item price, quantity and total item price. We have data in this database going back to Jan. 1999. We want to use this data to "predict" future order requirements (ie. what we need to order from our vendors). We'd like a separate layout within ORDERS pulling data from LINE ITEMS. It should look somewhat like the attached layout, asking questions and then computing and/or printing various reports, including an estimated order requirement based on the radio values selected. 1. Current Inventory status - has 3 answer options using 100%, 120% and 140% as mutliples to calculate inventory requirements based on current status. 2. Length of time to order for - either 8 weeks, 10 weeks or 12 weeks, ie. 2 X multiple, [url removed, login to view] multiple and 3X multiple of the monthly computed. Here's what FMP would need to calculate, show on screen and then print (using pause/resume script): 1. Detailed inventory sales report for "Month -1" sorted by reference number. In other words, if the report is run in May, it should pull April data. 2. Detailed inventory sales report for "Month -13" sorted by reference number. ie, same month as above, but last year. 3. Detailed inventory sales report using average monthly sales for the past 3 months ((month -1 + month -2 PLUS month -3) / 3) 4. Calculate based on the following formula the order requirements for the next order: Last month's average (weighted 40%) PLUS last year's same month average (weighted 20%) PLUS 3-month sales average (weighted 40%) / 3 This amount then gets multiplied by "Current Inventory Status" and then multiplied again by the Length of Time the order would needs to last. Layouts and reports should be identical, showing sub-summaries of items sold by reference and average price (including items sold at "$0") and summaries of items sold by category. Needs to use a US Letter printer-friendly B&W layout with TOTAL monthly sales as well.
Complete and fully-functional working scripts with layouts as well as complete source code of all work done. Complete copyrights to all work purchased.
PC and MAC versions of FileMaker 4.0 and greater(FileMaker runs on both platforms and layouts and scripts are independent of platform).
