We are launching a business that allows students in grades K-6 to order lunches online, selecting from menus that are updated daily; the Company then assembles the meals and delivers them to schools. We have a "working" spec for the site/application and initial (rough) graphics -- some of which have been posted to [[url removed, login to view]]
Challenges for the system include stored value capability and hierarchical, one-to-many user accounts. Basically, we'd like a mom to be able to fund a family account that is accessible to all her children, each using unique IDs.
Among other things, we'll need content management capability to update menu items, site administration tools (orders, conversion, delivery lists, etc). basic ecommerce functionality (secure passwords, credit card verification, order confirmation emails, etc) and the ability to market to our user base with emails ??" though we can probably use off the shelf tools for this for a while. We are open to building out functionality in waves, so that we can get started quickly and add functionality over time
