I have an OsCommerce website, [url removed, login to view] , that I'm putting together for selling limited-edition artwork, there is a banner (black background) about 1/3 of the way down the page (just above the catalog listings) where there are three static images overlapping each other as the current graphic (actually due to the use of slices on a Photoshop template, this banner consists of two images side-by-side). I don't like this layout and I'd like to make it more dynamic. I've seen on other websites where they've used Flash to animate a 'rolling slide show' and I am solciting bids to complete this project.
Here's what I'm looking for:
A single 507 X 139 flash banner that randomly displays 4 or 5 images from the product catalog images stored on the site. This flash banner needs to be dynamic. For each product that I add to the site I also upload an image for it that is used in the product catalog (if you click on any of the images in the catalog area it will take you to a details page and if you click the image again, it will present the image at full-size in a pop-up window). These images go into the [url removed, login to view] folder (alongside all of the other images used in the website layout). However, ALL catalog images have a naming convention of: ([url removed, login to view]) so they are easily referenced. The flash banner would randomly sequence any of the "cat_" image files from the image folder in the banner. A picture is worth a thousand words here, so for example, I'm thinking something like what you'd find on...
Template 5 at [url removed, login to view]
[url removed, login to view]
(either approach would be great)
Finally, clear instructions of how to properly install the Flash Slide-Show component are required. As I stated above, this is an OsCommerce website and as such is almost all PHP. There are 38 different references in various PHP files to the [url removed, login to view] and [url removed, login to view] (existing graphics). It's easy enough to find and replace those with the appropriate references to a new flash component, however, where to put any declarations or includes is another story and needs to be clear.
