Am reposting this as project has changed slightly.
Take a look at labsDOTdiggDOTcom/swarm, jheerDOTorg/vizster/ and wholivesnearyouDOTcom/
I would like a flash (or with html on side frame perhaps) that incorporates the interface of social-networking application and the functions of wholivesnearyou.
Friendster-like social networking site for people living OR working and CURRENTLY in same postal code to know who is around them. The interactive app could be color coded e.g. blue= >1km, yellow= <500meters, orange = <100m, red = <5m, blinking = very near
Users can then link some memebrs nearyby and arrange for a coffee break session (e.g. if at work). They can also "brekaout" for a chat directly to those close to them e.g. in the same office block but different offices.
There could also be a classifieds section, so when I search for "nokia n80" all those selling n80s will appear in bubbles with closest one, in the cloest bubble to me. Or I can sort by "price" e.g. $100-300 and those offering that price will be closest to me.
The bubble will then show the items picture so i can mouse over and see the pic larger.
This could then expand to other things like "pets" so similar neighbours with dogs can group together and chat about their dogs or meet for park walks.
Payment will be via paypal's subscription service so the application needs to tap into my paypal account for this purpose. Perhaps an annual fee.
Also possibility for webcam chat tickbox input for "upgrade package" users, so they can even video chat or show their webcam feed, with up to say 3 others. So there could be possiblity for online collaborations etc.
I have Linux servers running Php / MySql so would prefer the application to be done in that.
I am open to any ideas and please show me selective flash interactive works you have done. I do not want the usual cut and past bids.
I am also open for a stage by stage development... e.g. perhaps, each module will come later on.
Please do not bid a few thousand $. I know APIs etc can be found for these things, it's more putting everything together.
