We are looking for a simple template for a Media Player to be hosted on a regular HTTP server (Apache).
Functions are needed to do the following:
1- Have Folders/Lists and media files (fetched from full URLs).
2- Media Files will be hosted on a regular web-server. (Same server or external...)
3- Player to play file hosted on server while downloading in the player background to prevent visitors from copying media files to local computer. (i.e. copying the code including the player from websites will not copy the media files!).
4- Player should read media files such as FLV / MPEG / AVI / Real / WMV / MP3 / Wav / JPG / Anim-Gif).
5- Most importantly, it would be nice if the files hosted on the server would be stored using a fake file-extension (i.e. '[url removed, login to view]' will be stored as '[url removed, login to view]', application before compiling should be supplied with a "translation extension" list to fix extensions to the files to play correctly). Why? to make it harder for visitors to download files using any kind of sniffers... even if they download to their computers, it would take time to guess what kind of a file format the file is... at least this trick will make it harder for regular users.
Code needed to modify final look.
Suggested ideas are welcomed.
