I need someone to write the code that takes an image (preferably a UIImage) of anything up to around 12Mpx, applies a filter to it using the new CoreImage CIFilter in iOS 5 and then outputs the image to both the screen and Photo Library on the device.
I don't need a full application, it doesn't have to be pretty, just a couple of buttons, one to import the image and one to apply the filter - I can sort out the rest! I simply need the coding behind it to integrate into another existing application. You will only need to provide the code for one specific filter.
I don't mind how it is done as long as it is optimized to apply the filter as quickly as possible - using hardware acceleration if possible.
Someone with experience of OpenGLES or Quartz on iOS should be able to sort this out within a day I would have thought as the new CoreImage CIFilter makes it pretty easy to apply filters to images. I can give guidance on what I want and basic details of how to apply filters, I just need someone with a more in-depth knowledge of (preferably) OpenGLES or QuartzCore.
You will need a beta version of Xcode that works with iOS 5 beta, which I can supply if necessary.
