We are on online print company that sells a variety of products such as Business Cards, Postcards, brochures, etc. Our clients select the type of product that they wish to order, add it to their cart, then upload their files to be printed. We have a custom file uploader (flash) that reads the clients order and provides the appropriate upload options.
As an example, if a client orders 2 sets of double sided business cards, they will have the option to upload 4 files (Card 1 Front and Back as well as Card 2 Front and Back).
Once uploaded, the client may click the upload button again to change their file as long as the order status is "Pending" or "Waiting for Files". Once we change the status, the client can no longer make changes.
We have had several request from our clients to haver the ability to view a preview of the files that they have uploaded to ensure that they have uploaded the proper file. The concept is that we would add a button to each file upload that would give the client the ability to preview the file.
We accept a wide variety of files, so in addition to creating the preview button and display, the file will need to be converted for this purpose. We accept the following file types: PDF, JPEG, TIFF, PSD, EPS, AI. These files will be high resolution CMYK files for print, so we will need the script to convert the files to a preview size, RGB file for display on screen.
The files that we receive will be as small as 2" x 2" and as large as 18" x 16".
I anticipate that you will have many questions regarding this project. A lot of time and programming has gone into this site to date. In addition to the live site, we have a dev site for programming and testing. Once the project has been completed on the dev site, the programmer will be ask to provide a list of all file changes and new files so that we can move the project to the live site.
