My site has a page that calls an action to download a file when a button is clicked. Right now, the user's browser downloads a .jar file to the user's computer. This is fine for PC users, but most Mac users won't be able to open the .jar file without changing security settings. I have created a signed .app file using a Mac that bundles the .jar in a .app wrapper. This should allow Mac most users to open the application by double clicking. I need my sitecontroller (which includes the actions to download files) edited to serve a .app file (that can be opened with a double-click) if the user has a safari browser, and a .jar file otherwise. My sitecontroller file is attached (the relevant action is downloadSR).
