I want Internet visitors to have the chance to manage the wireless emissions of their wireless modems.
Usually people are frightened by wireless waves risks but they don't know how to manage their wireless modem.
They can't simply put a energy supply timer: too many ON/OFF, too many power cycles damage modern modems.
Best way is to get people the chance to schedule the waves emission according to their working hours, but they have the problem that wireless modem is never physically connected to computer: then if you simply shut down the wireless emission you can't have it back because you can't connect.
The solution could be to give exact working hours to the modem
Then this is the project for a virtual timer. Suggestions are welcome.
Internet visitor visits internet site.
He chooses his modem or his modem family (I'd like to have a flexible solution)
In a web page he enters the START/ON and STOP/OFF time of wireless emission
He push a send button
A telnet script or a java control will schedule on modem the emission hours. It doesn't shut off the modem, but it disables the wireless emission
And this settings will be the same until new changes defined by visitor
