I'm using Cre Loaded 6.2 Standard to develop a web site to sell short video clips (URL [url removed, login to view]). I would like customers to be able to preview watermarked samples of the video clips using Adobe/Macromedia Flash Player.
Essentially, instead of customers seeing the medium-size product image (i.e., the default Cre Loaded image that shows up in the product window) I would like them to see a Flash video player with a watermarked version of the video ready to play. A recommended code for the Flash Player is already available and attached (it comes strait from Dreamweaver 8. The code simply needs to be customized to find the source video (*.flv files) from the data field in the MySQL database (fyi - in the attached .txt file the default video file is "golfers"; that would need to be changed to the variable for medium images).
I've also attached a screen shot of what I hope the final product should look like. (I made this by replacing the code in the [url removed, login to view] file with the Flash Player code - good for illustrative purposes, but not a long-term solution!). (Note that in the final version I'd like the video player centered and the ability to accomodate different dimension *.flv files.)
I think this is a very straitforward project (just a little too complicated for me, especially in regards to understanding the complex CreLoaded structure and logic). I'm open to other ideas, but I think converting the medium_image field to a video field is an easy way to accomplish this (I have no need to show medium images anyhow).
Contact me with clarifying questions. Thanks.
