I need a script that will let me track clicks from various sites and also let me know the conversion rates from those clicks, what was clicked on, what converted the best, and how much is made on the clicks.
I'd link to pages, something like this:
[url removed, login to view]?page=page?item=code
Where source would be the source of the click, and the page would be the page it'd redirect to.
that'd tell the tracking script if someone purchased something (I'd place the code on my checkout confirmation page)
It'd need to tell the system what was clicked on (code) from what source and what the amount of the sale was. and let me view the information easily - sort by conversion rates, most clicked items, sources that deliver most traffic, etc.
I'll need a way to easily add "sources" ([url removed, login to view], [url removed, login to view]) etc and see how well they convert, what sells, what doesn't it.
So, the way it'd work is I'd upload urls like this to bizrate (for example):
[url removed, login to view]?page=redirect-url?item=87-55060
It'd log the source, log the item code, keep track of the # of total clicks, redirect to the "redirect-url" , and if a sale happened from this click (install a cookie, I suppose?) tell the system that sale happened and reply with the amount of the sale.
