Small social commentary website with articles & user login.
Users would come to this website to read articles and then comment on them. There would be about 10 sections of differently categorized articles and a photo of the day section. All of the article listing pages would be near identical. The photo of the day section would be laid out very similar, except the rows would be higher to accomodate a large thumbnail.
When you went to a specific article page, you would see around 15 article titles, each with a description, thumbnail, author name, & link to the actual article. You would be able to sort the amount of articles on the screen at once... 5 Days worth of articles, 15 Days, and 30 Days.
Once at the actual article page a user can comment on the article if they are logged in. When the user commented it would show his name, his avatar, the date and actual comment. If the user is new to the website he would need to register a new account. The login box would always be at the top of the page. After logging in the login box would be replaced by their username & avatar image, as well as a link to their My Profile page.
The "My Profile" page would basically just be where the user could edit their info. This would include basic information like name, location, website, about and an avatar image.
Users would also be able to submit articles to the website, but they would not appear in their respective section until approved by an administrator. The administrator would login to the backend system and approve them.
We have the homepage as well as the article listing page professional coded in XHTML/CSS. The rest of the pages are basically the same thing except the inner content is slightly different. This would need to be sliced and created.
