## Deliverables
I have a requirement for a piece of software to operate with the OpenWRT Linux software available from OpenWRT.ORG. Specifically I am interested in the Kamikaze release. The software needs to deal with the serial port, network and GUI.
I need one or more programs to do the following with the serial port
• Connect an incoming TCP connection to the serial port
• Automatically connect the serial port to a IP address or IP Named Host via TCP, reinitiating if the connection is lost.
• The above combinations over an encrypted link to a Windows, Linux or Mac machine handling connections from many machines (e.g. 250 devices). This might not be totally feasible.
I also need a LUCI/LUA based Web interface to this communications library allowing me to set the serial port, mode, addresses and the like. A watchdog system should be provided monitoring to ensure that the daemons are operating as they should.
The serial port is /dev/ttyS0, using 115200 bps and software handshaking is disabled.
It should be noted that memory and program space is limited. So is CPU
power. Scripts are preferred to compiled code due to the number of CPU architectures that may be dealt with.
