We need somebody to carry out the following work on a heavily customised osCommerce site ... * Upgrade the core system from osCommerce v2.2 to the latest stable version of Online Merchant * Install/modify contributions so that the product base is easier to manage * Reorganise the category/manufacturer structure so that it is easier to manage. This includes data transformation * Redesign product detail screens to show multiple images using the Highslide JS library * Reformat product data. The current data contains photobucket images and HTML formatting that are causing design issues for hundreds of products. We want this manipulated into a standard format to fit the new product page format. * Customise osCommerce's search facility This will lead on to other projects on the same site, including a complete overhaul of the site design and development of a product import system. We also have a number of other osCommerce projects waiting in the wings and will be looking to build a lasting relationship with the right team. The successful developer(s) will be able to display deep experience of the following attributes ... * PHP/MySQL (5 years minimum) * osCommerce * SEO / mod_rewrite * Data modelling and transformation * Delivering quality code on time that has been properly unit tested! This project would probably best suit a small team of highly experienced developers, although individuals with the right skills are more than welcome to apply.
## Deliverables
We will set up a dev environment on our live server for final testing, but the solution will be developed on a local test environment by you.
