93741 Democracy Project: TruthEngine

A very simple, new kind of forum based on php/mysql. A mix of a normal forum and a wiki. Users post an opinion, other users vote "Agree" or "Disagree". Other users can "Suggest better formulation". Other users can "Post argument for" or "Post argument against", and other people can vote "Agree", "Disagree" or "Re-formulate" on those. Basically the Truth Search Results interface shows by default the most relevant opinions, thus the ones agreed by the highest percentage. For example "18 out of 20 people agree with this opinion". Next step of this project, should be able to define the weight of each users Vote differently. A user who has already posted several opinions which were agreed to by several other users, then receives a certain "representativity value". Thus each opinion's truthfullness is not only measured by number of votes for and against, but also by the amount of "high representative valued users" who agree with it. If you can design this interface using AJAX you are the man! Basically the interface should be flowing, with the central opinion in the center of the screen, arguments against it on the left and under, arguments supporting the central opinion on the top and on the right of the screen. An opinion should also be as brief as possible initially, but users can also move a slider to read more and more detail about that opinion, thus each Argument is displayed to provide a longer and longer text explaining the opinion. Thus Argument 1 for Opinion 1 will show like this: "title:" Opinion 1 "paragraph 1:" Argument 1 and so there could be an infinite amount of arguments, and they are sorted in the order of importance based on "Votes for or against" and "Users with high representative value for or against". Later also each text should be possible for users to submit using video formats, thus could just be some embedded flash video or other video formats. But this feature is not the most important in the beginning. I hope someone finds this project interesting.
