We need a simple blog-like web content editor that allows us to enter information about an arts event. Each event will be a separate entry, and will have the following fields: Title, Bodytext, EndDate, Category. (Title and EndDate comprise the unique index key). When displayed on the website, the app will display the event in one of three sections on the web page: at the top of the page is the Upcoming Events section, followed by the Ongoing Events section, then the Past Events section, very similar to the page at [login to view URL] (and the admin panel/editor should use the same text CSS as this page, to present a good WYSIWYG editing experience ). The Date determines whether the event shows in Upcoming Events or Past Events; the Category determines whether this is a OneTime or Ongoing event.
The admin user will enters events using a full-featured WYSIWYG rich text editor to edit the Bodytext field, such as Whizzywig (exact choice TBD). The rich text editor must have image upload/attribute editing capability. The admin panel is to have an area that displays all events, with the ability to choose Edit, Copy or Delete actions (Copy starts a new event with Bodytext and Category, but without the Title or EndDate). The admin panel/editor and the web page are to be hosted within the same website.
This is to be very simple application that should not be overloaded with extra features, and we have a very tight budget.
