We are after someone with extensive moodle experience to work with us to resolve issues, and if it works well, ongoing maintenance of the moodle installs.
We had our assignment settings set to reopen until pass for a maximum of two attempts on our Moodle 2.5.5+ (Build 20140314) 2013051405.01. This was working great and reopening the assignment for another submission if the student did not pass the first time. On the odd occasion, due to student error, we would have to revert the submission to draft (which changed the status of the last submission back to draft, rather than reopening for a new attempt). I am under the impression this is how it was all meant to work.
We recently upgraded to Moodle 2.7.2+ (Build: 20140925) and now when an assignment is not passed the first attempt it is not automatically reopening (although the settings for this are correct). If we then revert to draft, it changes the submission to reopened (instead of draft).
If you click to grade an assessment to see the grading screen, but don't make any changes or save it, and close out. The assignment disappears from the filter for grading (when viewing the assignment table) but when you remove the filter to see all assignments, it does not have a grade recorded or the status of graded. Something is triggering moodle to think it's been graded just because it has been opened. This was not a problem in 2.5.
Webservice on one install is not working (and is on another with same configuration) and we need this to integrate into our external student management system. The SIS is saying it's not getting a JSON response.
We use AJAX marking block, previously recoded for us by another freelancer for 2.5, its not not 100% with 2.7 - some issues due to the above mentioned problems and pretty sure linked and will resolve once fixed in moodle itself. The other is it is listing multiple assessments beside the same student for the same assignment, yet there is only one there to grade. Interestingly it seems to only occur for students I have imported into the new SIS and then reenrolled back into moodle into the same course areas.
