I am going to make secret page on my site but in order to get to that page you have to download a 'joke toolbar'.
The user will click on the "secret codes" page link where they will first see 'before you can see the secret codes, you must download this joke toolbar.'
The joke toolbar is downloadable software hosted on an advertisers server. I would like to have the joke toolbar download page placed in an iframe on my site. Once the user downloads the software the secret page becomes available.
I was told this could be done using iframes and pixels. Not sure exactly what that means but im sure someone does. Possibly a cookie could be stored in the users browser which will activate the secret codes page. So that when the user clicks the secret codes link they will be taken directly to the secret codes area instead of being prompted will the 'you must download this page.'
If its possible the cookie should be stored forever so that the user doesnt need to redownload the toolbar over and over.
Here is the toolbar that needs to be downloaded:
[url removed, login to view];aff_id=jokesneverblue
Please remember we ARE NOT hosting this toolbar nor do we have any control over it.
So this is basically how it goes:
1. We have a link saying click here for secret page.
2. They come to the page that says in order to continue to the secret page you must download the joke toolbar.
3. They download the joke toolbar.
4. They go back to the secret codes page and bypass the download page and go directly to the secret codes area.
If the budget is too low, let me know.
