I need a competent server administrator to move 64 domains from an old cPanel reseller hosting account to a new dedicated cPanel server. I do not have root or ssh access to the old reseller hosting account and the sysadmin of that server will not provide this access. Fearing repurcussions, I do not want the sysadmin at the old reseller to know the move is taking place. I have full root access on the new dedicated server. I attempted to initiate from the new dedicated server the cPanel/WHM "Copy an account from another server with account password" but process ended in error. I assume that this option is out, but if you know how to make this process work--overcome the error--that would be a big plus. Neither the cPanel/WHM "Copy an account from another server" or "Copy multiple accounts from another server" will work since I don't have ssh access to the old server (and cannot obtain it). Thus, it appears that the only available way to move my domains to the new dedicated server is to: 1.) Login to each domain on the old reseller server. 2.) Run "cPanel > Backup > Generate/Download a Full Backup" to the domain's home directory. 3.) FTP the backup file down to a local computer. 4.) FTP the backup file up to the new dedicated server. I don't know the directory to which the file needs to be uploaded or the details on how to do this (again, I have root access). The new dedicated server has two drives and I believe backups are pointing to the second drive, so that *may* be the location from which they need to be restored. Since I do not have much expertise with this aspect of cPanel management, the provider must be well-versed in Linux/Apache/cPanel server administration and work carefully. 5.) Restore the domain backup files from within the new dedicated server cPanel/WHM interface. 6.) Test to make sure the restore worked 100% accurately. All files must be correctly restored, including, but not limited to: -- Domain configuration, like email accounts, forwarders, stats, etc. -- Web site files (HTML, images, [url removed, login to view], .htaccess, [url removed, login to view], PHP program files, CGI program files, etc.) -- File and directory permissions (some domains run Perl code, for example) -- SSL Certificates, CSRS, and Keys -- Email Files -- FrontPage Files -- ProFtpd File -- WWW Access Logs -- MySQL Databases -- MySQL privs -- Mailman Lists -- Mailman Archives -- Cpuser File -- Crontab File -- Quota Information -- Subdomains -- Parked Domains -- Addon Domains -- Passwords -- Shell Info In short, EVERYTHING must be moved. On some previous moves, the cPanel restore function didn't bring back all necessary files, so the provider MUST test to ensure that all domain information is 100% correctly restored to the new dedicated server. The old reseller domain is currently running poorly and is losing email. The new dedicated server is fully-managed and the configuration is complete. The provider only needs to do this move, and will not be responsible for configuration of the new dedicated server (and should not make *any* configuration changes without prior approval). Since the old reseller server is losing email, this situation is URGENT and the domains all need to be moved immediately. The domains need to all be moved and tested in as short a period of time as possible. Once I have been assured the move is complete, I will simply change my two nameserver IP Addresses from the old reseller server to the new dedicated server. Again, I need a provider whom is well-versed in this kind of move and whom can begin immediately. Best, Kirk
