I own and operate a restaurant and currently use a pencil and paper reservation system. I am constantly running up and down stairs from the dining room to the office work to get the hard copy reservation book to check availability. I have multiple networked PC's with MSOffice, at the front door, my office , and other locations in the restaurant. I have attempted to design a Google Document that would address these issues but encountered too many issues and limitations. I am seeking someone who can design a network accessible collaborative "spreadsheet style calendar template or program, that I can use in multiple locations in the restaurant to enter table reservations. It would enable more than one person to make changes and accept reservations simultaneously. Additionally I would like to be able to access this from outside the restaurant, at home, if feasible via the cloud.
I have a spreadsheet mock up of what I envision the functionality to look like but realize that there are many other options that would make this more user friendly and appealing.
The program would also include the following features and traits:
Graphically appealing intuitive interface that would be easily understood by beginners.
The ability to add more features as the project progresses.
User override levels to prevent unauthorized entries without a manager approval
Possibly having the abilty to create a database of guest entries.
