Several years ago, we had the PHP script below created for us. I need this script updated in the following ways. The Original script is attached.
- It needs to be more reliable. It doesn't extract all JPEGs attached all the time. We are using a gmail account so maybe it needs to do Imap?
- We need to add the ability of the script to write the contents of the subject line in the email to the SOURCE field of the IPTC on the JPEG.
----------- The description of the original script is below -----------
I need a script that can access a specific address at a pop3 server. Extract the JPEG image attached to e-mail, write the information in the body of the e-mail to the caption area of the IPTC then send the processed file to a specifiable FTP destination. It should render the filename unix compliant IE no spaces, no oddball characters, etc.
This is optional but ideally, the script would check to see if the attachment was a JPEG, if not, it would send e-mail to the sender explaining the problem and ask them to resend the image as a JPEG.
It would be great if it could deal with multiple images attached and ZIP uploads.
I look forward to replies.
