We are running one php application in the root directory (JROX JEM - Shopping cart/affiliate manager) and in a subdirectory we are running a social network script (phpFox). Right now we have 2 db's (mysql) and the user login info is the same on both, but users have to login twice. The userid's in the db are different. The only common data point is the email and password used for login.
Here is what we need: When someone logs into the first application (jrox) visit the other script in subdirectory, they should be logged in there as well, based on the email used. I have been told that sessions can accomplish fairly easily but this is beyond my experience.
