The program will monitor a specified folder for new file and process it and the result will be stored in another prespecified folder. Hi, I can provide the application in c# .Net. Please see below what I have understood. - The program should also have an automated capture feature or folder that allows multiple .txt files to be read and converted in sequence. So it means application will give an option to provide file or folder path as in input. -The program should be able to store and process an unlimited amount of word/symbol pairs. So which means the pairs will be stored somewhere in database, xml, text file etc. -The program should also have the option of only decoding only certain portions of a .txt document based on predetermined rules. for example convert the body of a letter only and not the title. How to identify the body or title part of the document as an input file is just .txt file? And where these rules will be stored? How to define these rules? Thanks, Arbab

Module 1- Dictionary This is where you create and save lists of symbols or words that are used in replacing matches found in a piece of text. Module 2- File Upload This is what you use to process a single text file. It can be configured to allow only text files to be uploaded. Once you upload the file. It is processed and a processed file created for you. The software will provide you with a link for downloading or viewing this processed file or will just save it to a folder, you will advice what you actually want. Module 3 - Multi-file Processor This will have the same output as Module 2 but instead of uploading a file you specify a folder containing multiple files. All files in this folder are then processed and output sent to a designated folder for further access. As part of Module 1 and Module 2 functions you will have a configurable set of options which you can setup before file processing. Here is where you decide whether the document header / footer or any other desired element is included in the replacement. Hi, I have good experience in programming. I would like to use linux shell programming for this making it very elegant. Do you want it to work on linux or any other OS? Dictionary reading can be done using python if you like and basically I will give you a python script with shell calls inside to do the job. If you are interested let me know. Hi, I will be doing it using .Net, I will provide you an application with converts the text boht by reading multiple file from a specififce folder or text provided in the text box. For storing the symbols I'll be using datbase of MS SQL EXPRESS. apart from my fee you doesnt have to pay any amount for any license. I will provide you an option add / edit / delete the symbols to the database. I will also provide you minor customisation free for 3 months. and also if you encounter any bug or error, i'll provide you the update or support for lift time of the application.

It is not clear in which language you require it to be written. Where are you going to run it? I would do it as follows, first, would implement this: - Read a plain text list of word-to-symbols into a sorted list. - Process the input text using the list to transform words into symbols 2nd stage: - Implement the reverse function, i.e building the inverse list (easy, requires very little new code to be added to the previous stage). 3rd stage: - Once the code of the previous stage does what you want, I'll add functionality to read and write to several files in a single run (trivial) 4th stage: - Add functionality to skip parts of the text. Of course, we can further refine the requirements. Also, if you are processing extremely large quantities of data, it could be later improved by using a special tree instead of a list, pre-compiling it so that the cost isn't incurred in each run, and making it process files in parallel (or could divide a file in blocks and process those in parallel, in the case of large files).
