GIS Mobile Solution for Network Review /Survey and Reporting

Looking forward to have a hybrid application to extend the network mapping system i.e. Ericsson Network Engineer and its database reach to the field work force for improving network data quality and enhancing business workflows. The proposed application shall be combination of web-based/tablets/smart phones that would be functioning within customer IT Infrastructure with a central data repository mechanism which has already been established. the solution shall provide users with below functionalities. • The application should be configurable to control the map data ,user profiles ,privileges and create /publish any form from the data base tables and fields which than will be filled by the users at site. • The application should support off line data acquisition and when connected to network shall sync to the database. • The application should provide the users with an interactive map view and data visualization of the current Network Engineer data and may over lay 3rd party free map like arc GIS online/google map/Bing map/here etc. • The application shall provide a search and filter option for the map view where the user can search for any feature/location, zoom to it or filter the map data view. • The application should provide user red lining facility to draw or comment and add pictures to the location .this data may be stored in a separate feature class. E.g. a user comments on any feature with the picture and want to send alert or share with another user for his action or information. • Select a map feature from the map view (e.g. chamber, duct, cable, etc…) and select the type of review form to be submitted based on the selected feature or edit attributes. • Choose a location on the map (or use their current location from the device’s GPS), create a feature for that location and choose the type of review form to be submitted based on the selected/current location.
