I am interested in getting a script written to run under Centos (Linux) which scans an ical file, and at a set time before the scheduled events in the ical file executes a command line command.
ical files are written from another software package every 5 minutes. This software must collect files, scan then to find out what calendar events are scheduled, and then 15 minutes (or at a time we choose) before the event execute a command line command that we specify.
As an example, the ical file has a calendar event which starts at 7pm. At 6:45pm the system executes a command as root such as "ls" or whatever we choose.
There will be around 7 different ical files being updated daily. Each ical file will execute a different command line command.
Looking for someone who can assist with this project.
I can create php script to handle different ical files and execute command line at specified time. I will complete this work in 3 days. Looking for your reply to start this work immediately.
