I have remote users without regular access to Internet, but only via email. Most of them use WhatsApp on their smartphones so that can send texts when they do have access to internet. I would like to offer them ability to send messages from their phones to a server via wifi. The server then forwards the texts to us via email, and we can then distribute over our internet to normal Whatsapp users. The remote users are on ships hence reason why normal internet not always available. If there are any API/gateways available to send these texts out then that may save on development time. we would also consider actually developing some form of app similar to WhatsApp that we could offer them, but we would still like it to send to WhatsApp end users, and also that they can send messages back to the our remote users. Please respond if you feel you are capable of of developing this service, and how you think it could be done. Thanks

If I analyze it correctly, first of all I have the api already for Whatsapp. both can receive and send message from whatsapp, as it running on server (linux,posix). its act as "sender" for both send and receive. then second part is must be, email part. an single email, for receiving message from your limited users. act as bot to receive, then convert it to API whatsapp, to send. the simple way maybe is just use Subject as Number Phone of whatsapp (for Sending). and when receiving message from whatsapp, we send back to email user, based on something smart enough (because this is multiple user) we can discuss more, pm me

Hello. It may be done as email <-> WhatsApp gate, but it needs some server tuning (to connect mail server with the script). I think, using Python for this job would be more reasonable, but PHP is OK as well.
