I need to be able to do a sort of mail merge on about 10 different contracts.
Similar to Mail merge on MS word, I need to be able to pul in data that I have captured in a DB ( either excel or whateva ) into the approximate 10 different contracts that I have.
So in essence, today I may need to complete 5 different contracts with information, the info is all stored and captured in a DB.
1. I need this software to work as follows:
- designed for windows
- Icon on the desktop that will open the DB, ( examples of what will be stored in the DB is as in the attached excel doc)
- Have a look at the example of one of the contracts attached. You can see that I have already been doing this in MS Word.
But I need this to be painless for the user, 2 icons, 1 for DB and 1 for contracts.
When u click on the contracts one it must ask you what contract you would like to open, then it must ask you what details you would like to pull in from the DB, then it must also allow you to edit certain fields that dont get pulled in from the DB.
And then be able to email, either in word doc or pdf.
I did a quick test and I can send you a sample program tomorrow. I just need some more informations:
- all contracts and database use the exact same field names (like HCP Name, Institution and so on)
- all contracts are in Word format (DOC or DOCX) and all databases are Excel format (XLS or XLSX)
- please send all 5 contracts, for testing
