I want an application that will convert any pdf file into a plain text file (obviously just the text portions of the pdf file). I need it done completely with Visual Basic 6 (not .net). Also, there can no third party software involved (like GhostWriter). Here is what I got from the Internet about [url removed, login to view] (someone asked if he could use it). [url removed, login to view] Adobe doesn't support it for development. That means that if my customers upgrade, the new version of the ocx may not have exactly the same features that are needed to run the application. If I understand Adobe's licensing correctly, I can't just add the ocx to my files, it would have to be on the computer already. This seems to be a big problem with using the file. If you have a way around the problem, I am willing to listen.
