I need a simple VB dot net addin built ... the kind you begin with (from VS dot net) New Project - Other Projects - Extensibility Projects - Shared Addin.
It should load with Excel only
It should put one new Menu Item on the Excel main menu with the Caption "Main Menu Item"
Then it should put 4 sub menu items below "Main Menu Item" so that when the user clicks "Main Menu Item" the following sub menu items appear for selection:
Sub Menu Item 1
Sub Menu Item 2
Sub Menu Item 3
Sub Menu Item 4
When the user selects any menu item, it should run a subroutine (submain, sub1 , sub2, sub3, sub4). Each of the subs should simply add the contents of currently selected cells in the spreadsheet and output the total to cell A1 on the same sheet.
Thats it ...
Most of what you need to get started can be found in the dot net help topic "HOW TO: Build an Office COM Add-in by Using Visual Basic .NET" but this article wont tell you how to create menu items or access spreadsheet cells or debug through the addin source code ... so there will be some other things youll have to know/figure out.
Shoot me questions if you dont understand anything regarding this request.
