I have installed WordPress 3.1.2 in a subfolder of my site. The issue is that [url removed, login to view] does not link to subfolder where Wordpress is located. I know that a simple alternative would be to move Wordpress to the root of the site but it is a security issue hence the reason why my Wordpress site is inside a subfolder. The second reason why my wordpress is located inside a subfolder is that I will have 5 domains pointing to subfolders on this server.
This is what the path of [url removed, login to view] looks like at present:
/[url removed, login to view] (page missing...)
I need this path to be changed to:
/sites/nameofsite/[url removed, login to view] (where [url removed, login to view] is located)
I would hope that this can be done by adding a loop in the [url removed, login to view] (or is there a better way?)
I would prefer not to use .htaccess because of the 5 wordpress sites that will be running on this server all inside subfolders.
If you need to look at the site, please send me a pm and I will give you any details you need for your bid. If you have a different idea or a better way to solve this issue please let me know and I might go with your recommendations instead.
I am looking to get this project done in the next 1-4 days so this job is urgent.
Thanks very much,
