My website should be comprised of 5 different applications. Possiby more in the future. An online marketplace, for regular selling and auctioning where buyers and sellers register and sellers can list their products for a fee and buyers are maybe charged a service fee. Should be similar to the ebay model where there are categories and users can search for specific items. A ticket marketplace where sellers and buyers interact, I am assuming that this can be done with the same script as the marketplace listed above, but with specificity to tickets. Should be able to search for tickets by category, price, venue, teams, performers etc.. Payment options like paypal and google checkout, as far as ticket delivery, there should be options for the user to choose whether to pick up tickets, receive via mail or print an e-ticket. A travel engine for flights, hotels, cruises etc...like most other engines like expedia or priceline. I am not sure if I need this as yet, but under the travel site section, I might need a searchable restaurant, bar, attractions database that is searchable and can be reviewed by users. And when someone buys a plane ticket, suggestions from this database are shown on the side, for example, if someone buys a ticket to New York, maybe new York boat tours pop up on the side with an option to buy tickets via the ticket sales website. A real estate application where sellers and buyers connect. with listings, search and mapping. Should be able to search listings by, property type, size, price, realtor etc. Real estate agents should be able to create a profile and list multiple properties for a fee. Used car sales website. Search cars by year, type, model, brand etc… Users can register a profile and list their vehicle for a fee. All of these individual websites should be under one main registration process. This should be a network, where for any of the above listed features, users will register the same profile with more or less information according to which portal they sign through. For example, if someone registered though the tickets website, they already have a profile for all and won’t have to register a separate login account. And once an account and profile is created, users would only have to add additional information to their account when it is required. All users will have simple profile pages with statuses and ability to chat ,message each other and share their activity throughout all the websites. It should be easy for users to share information. For example, if someone bought a house they should be able to post it on their profile. The overall look for the website should be like one single website Example, the homepage will be [login to view URL] and that homepage will be a very simple page with account login to profiles as well as tabs to navigate to the separate pages. Each individual website should be the same layout and style as any other,so when a tab is clicked, the page location changes but everything looks like its all one single site. For example, if I log onto the main homepage and click the market place tab, the url will go to the url for the marketplace website and the color scheme and layout should be the same, I should see a category list, market place search, featured items in the middle column and maybe some blocks for product promotions, deals etc… IMPORTANT! When somone enters the url for any of the individual websites, it should go directly to that page. Though all the websites will act like one, they should still be able to act independently as to maintain a brand of its own. The look of the website should be simplistic but attractive.
