We are looking for a Java developer who can help us fix a few bugs and extend an existing Java application written to run on OSX. The application is used to record auditions so experience with audio and video is preferred. The current application uses Xamarin (a C# library) to record the video and FFMPEG to combine them. The app converts videos from .mov format to .mp4 format. The Java app also interacts with a web API and finally uploads the .mp4 videos to Amazon S3. The most urgent issue is to to fix a bug where the audio and video are occasionally not in sync when multiple video “takes” are combined. Also correct the video recording 3 seconds late. We also need to add the ability to put the application into different “modes” to interact with the dev, stage and prod API environments.
(Preferably looking for someone local in Los Angeles.)
