This project has 2 distinct parts to it:
-- integrate Mambo, a CRM [e.g. SugarCRM], a Workspace [e.g. NetOffice] and a Helpcentre into a one-login seamless Groupware Implementation
-- increase functionality to attract and capture details of potential clients and partners
Bidders must meet the following requirements:
-- proven track record of integrating proposed packages
-- knowledge of integrating Mambo and MySQL
-- understanding of dotProject & Subversion
Further details can be found in the attached documentation. Suggested reading order is:
-- Kikkup - A Brief Overview
-- Agile Project Management Framework
-- Source Version Control Procedures
-- CW Project - Groupware Implementation Tender
-- CW Project - Website Content
Our aim in providing these documents is to give as full an overview as possible, so please read them from start to end before submitting a bid.
Kikkup operates within the Agile development methodology and so are happy to receive proposals from companies who wish to bid for one part of the project as outlined, but not the whole package. We're therefore also interested in hearing from people who feel their expertese is in the "Speculate and Explore Parameters" section of the "CW Project - Groupware Implementation Tender" document.
Ultimately, Kikkup would like to develop "pools" of trusted third party freelancers through whom web-based products can be administered and refined as time goes by. We seek to implement best-of-breed solutions and so expect only the best-of-the-best freelancers will apply, no matter how narrow their focus.
Bidders should be aware this project will be pulicised on other sites as well as this one
Thank you all very much for your interest in this project.
During Monday 16/01 (UK time) I shall be conducted a shortlisting across all bidders from all sources.
General criterea will include value for money so you should be aware the average confirmed bid across all suppliers is $3500 for 8 weeks.
Criterea will also include a demonstration of understanding of the projects requirements.
So, in order to gain automatic shortlist selection bidders should ensure
a) they provide value for money
b) they have at least given a recommendation concerning the CMS/CRM/PMS packages to be used (or accepted our initial thinking) and preferably detailed how they would implement the single login [seperate database, patched code to one database, sycynchronisation of databases, etc].
Exceptions to this will be at my discrestion alone.
Following on from shortlist further PMB conversations will be entered into resulting in the award of the project towards the end of the week.
