hello, i have a pc with win xp, and i use this pc as my central office pc, so users have access to a specific folder of this pc and copy/paste their files there, of they can find files of other employees there.
what i want is to give certain access to each employee to this file, so he can see only some specific subfolders and do some specific moves e.g. i do not want them to be able to delete files or copy some files
also i wnt to be able each user that has been connected to this file of my central pc (aka server) what exactly has he done (e.g. opened this folder/file, copied this file)
i want something cheap that will do what i ask above, i do not mind if the sofware is already existed or it will now be developed

NTFS and/or share permissions can control users' accesses. An auditing policy can track users' accesses.
