*Need done asap* Should only take a couple of hours*
I am trying to move my website from its current location on a virtual server running Linux and myphp with Wordpress (ipowerweb) installed to another company's shared server, which also has Linux, myphp and Wordpress (Go Daddy). It should be noted that the reason why I am moving the site is because my database is fairly large, and was exceeding the memory limit on the virtual server. It kept crashing the website, until it was crashing every day, and today it's been down all day so I cannot access it, and started to transfer it to a new server (I have the full website downloaded to my computer); I transferred every file.
Unfortunately, the website server management software on the existing site, Plesk v7.5.4, does not have a database backup feature, so I was not able to export a .sql file of the Wordpress database. I am trying to figure out how to create a .sql file from the Wordpress files downloaded to my pc. I tried to zip them but the zip programs I've tried don't allow me to select multiple files in multiple folders.
One thing that may make things tricky - I believe the version of Wordpress on the new server is slightly newer (it's 2.0.4), and the version of Linux is slightly different as well (on the old server it was 2.6.8; on the new server it's 2.0)
Although I don't have access to the root of the server with shared hosting (the Go Daddy interface only permits an uploaded .sql file of around 2048 kilobytes), the Go Daddy folks will transfer the file for me.
I'd like someone to see this through to make sure the site goes live - I figure someone who knows what they're doing can figure it out in a couple of hours. I've temporarily uploaded an old version of the .sql database, but it may not be working properly (I can't tell yet since the DNS may not have been quite transferred over yet). The path names may need to be slightly adjusted.
