Extremely Simple in Concept: The end goal is having a number changed from 0 to 60.
You will be dealing with an online database of customers who receive emails, the problem occurs every 60 days when the service expires, and requires manually going in and changing the expiration period back to 60 days.
I need someone with knowledge in macro like programming that repeats the same proccess. Specifically the program would have to run on a Windows XP/Vista machine, it would select a name from a database, select save, change a field to "60", select save, select the next name and so on. The challenge is the lag or waiting period when the program would be idle for the web page to load.
A coder had this to say:
posting and parsing values to this website is not possible. This website using framing/session based login/scripting based posting.
Option 1: By creating a custom web browser control and develop a package/application using visual basic or visual c++ or java
Option 2: By creating a browser add ins (tool bar control) to do this operation.
As the coder, you will be given temporary access to the site in order to make/design the software. It will require Internet Explorer 7, and live communication with me by phone. Every time you want access i will have to issue you a new password, so be aware i live in Florida, Eastern Daylight Savings. This is a secure site with personal information, so before you will be given access i will send you a Non Disclosure Agreement to protect the privacy of my clients.
Keep in mind this is a simple task with the purpose of saving time. Additionally, if possible having a flexible program in the event the site moves fields, or changes in design.
See attachment for visual aide and the steps the program would have to go through.
