I have a person that creates excel worksheets in Mac Excel V9.0. There are only 6 columns being used ID MODELNO BRAND FileNo FORMAT TYPE MANUAL There may be up to 100,000 rows of data. We need 2 macros. One will remove any appostrophies. One will make sure EVERY field is a text field. I want the user to be able to highlight the range of data. Then hit the Macro that will then remove the appostophies. Or Hit a different Macro that will make sure every field is text. The problem we are having is that we upload these spreadsheets to a web site, then an ASP page takes the info off the spreadsheet and loads it into a SLQ server database. Sometimes when we Have a Model number that is all numbers - somehow that field does not upload into the database. It doesn't happen to fields that are Aplhanumeric only numeric. The problem is solved if we first convert the number into a text on the spreadsheet. The other problem is that if there is an appostrophy in a field it messes up the upload.
