We are looking for a WISE Installer to replace our manual install/upgrade process that we use right now for our web based, database driven application that gets installed on customer's servers. The installer will need to install SQL Server Express 2005 if the customer needs it, setup a web site in a virtual directory and install a server program which we already have an installer for and will send you. It will also need to communicate via the internet to a webservice that you should also write that will verify the key code entered at the beginning of the process. If the user does not have internet access then allow them to enter an activation code manually. The details of the project are in the attached word document, some of the details such as the project name were left out of the word document.
We will provide the exact details to the coder like the project name and what needs to be done to the database to the bid we accept. We don't want to post that for public knowledge. We also will send the coder a copy of the current installation instructions, which are manual, and batch files that we use right now so you can see exactly what needs to be accomplished. The installer is to be written in Wise Installation Studio 7.0 either in WiseScript or with the Windows Installer Editor. The things that need to be accomplished outside the installer can be done in whatever language you think will be the easiest and most efficient.
