I currently have a plugin that calculates the savings between the regular price and the discount price when viewing the woocommerce cart and checkout pages. See attachment
It does however require the price column to have the regular and discount price for it to work which doesn't come standard with woocommerce. So I need this added to the plugin so that if any product is on sale it will show the savings of the product as well as the total savings above the total cost.
I currently have another plugin called Dynamic Pricing ([url removed, login to view]) that actually has this built in which i can give to you to use and just copy across into this plugin as I don't want this plugin to reply on Dynamic Price to work, as there are some complications when doing so, because double savings get calculated which isn't correct. See below:
Go to [url removed, login to view]
Add [url removed, login to view]
and [url removed, login to view] to your cart.
Now you will see that the second one is showing up the "saving" because I have set all products from the CAPSULE category to get a 10% discount using Dynamic Pricing Plugin
Now there are 3 problems:
1. The [url removed, login to view] doesnt actually cost R500, this is in fact its SALE price that woocommerce displays by default. So i need it to show its regular price (which is actually R620) and have that lined out with the sale price next to it. The difference between these two will then be the savings price.
2. The [url removed, login to view] is again only displaying the sale price and subtracting the 10% discount R40 and only showing that as the savings when in fact the regular price is in fact R570. Meaning that the TRUE saving is R210 (R570-R400+40) This is the reason I dont want to rely on Dynmaic Pricing as it over rides what you enter in the backend and makes the saving amount display incorrectly.
Screenshot of backend showing true pricing before dynamic adds its discount on in front end [url removed, login to view]
3. The current version doesnt calculate the savings from coupons into the total savings. You can use MU2013 in the coupon field to test this in our current cart. This give and R86 discount on the cart total before shipping which adds in another [url removed, login to view], but the total amount showed in the savings is still R40 which is incorrect because it should be R104.50.(not including the wrong amount of savings from point 2 which is actually R210 and not R40)
Would be nice to have a backend option to change the font and the colour so that it stands out more and to move the savings column to the right of the price column and the total savings above the Order total.
NB this HAS to be a standalone plugin and MUST work on any woocommerce theme. No core files may be edited to make this work.
Budget to get this working is $50 as you are receiving an already created plugin with code from dynamic pricing to help you out
