We have several books in .DOC format in several languages - English, Hindi, Japanese, German, Spanish, etc. We also have the database specifying the details like Bookname, Filename, Chapter title, Chapter Number, etc... We want to create EPUB out of them so they are visible nicely in Adobe Digital Edition. We have existing ebooks in .LIT format and were able to use Calibre tool to create .LIT to .EPUB and it looked great in Adobe Digital edition - preserving TOC, formatting, links, etc. We do not want to create - .DOC to .LIT and then from .LIT to .EPUB (via Calibre). We want direct from .DOC + some htmls + lookup of our database to .EPUB with the same structure as .LIT. We can provide you our existing source code we use to create .LIT from .DOC+HTML files. Maybe you can extend that that code for EPUB. You can refer to the attachment for EPUB "Build a digital book with EPUB - The open XML-based eBook format" from IBM. It looks easy to me as I see the process as database lookup and create XML based on EPUB recommendation, then create related files like CSS, TOC, etc. pack and done. Not sure if VBA macros would be enough and/or .NET based... whatever you see it work well. Please bid for the work and lets get started. Love, Angelo PS. seems once our EPUB structure is ready and your code works well for one book it should work for the rest too... we can then make the code to convert books in a batch (next phase of the work - as new project).
