Looking for a developer to upgrade my access database to sql server, to get the visual basic 6 "reports dll" from the desktop software I wrote, and turn it into a web page where the tests can be taken and the reports can be viewed. ? I have already written the HTML test page - it just needs connected to the dll to produce the reports and then the HTML output (which the dll produces) needs to be displayable on the pages - read the detail of the project for more info! ? It may be less time consuming to not bother upgrading the access db and just make a new sql server db specific to the web reports version - all the DB needs is: user logins, report usage (which reports have they produced), record tests taken from which reports can be produced.
NB. ? I am not looking to upgrade the entirety of the desktop software - I just need the test page I have made to link to the [url removed, login to view] file I have made and display the HTML that the [url removed, login to view] file produces.
I want the web pages to be made using C# .Net connected to a shared SQL Server database I have. ? I want the web pages to look pretty decent - I have little skills in making web pages look pretty but I can do some of the database work if needed to keep the price down. ? I do not yet have a hosted virtual machine on which to place the vb6 [url removed, login to view] and the webpages and would like you to set that up for me.
I'd like to hear your interpretation of how much work you'd spend in each area so I can get a feel for whether you've got the idea. ? I would like some decent design work included in this - i.e. I want the landing pages to look good and can help with templates but am not a visual person. ? I have some ideas - like the 'Get Free Report!' button sitting next to the 'Get a Report Package' button and the get free report button then turns into OK when you click on it.... ok, so i'm not good at UI but I want some good GUI in this too. ?

Hi - the [url removed, login to view] file I have produced returns HTML, I have already got a test page created here:[url removed, login to view] I would like the above to look prettier and have testimonials on the [url removed, login to view] I am asking for is:1. Create SQL Server DB to allow users to login, record which tests answers they have (multiple tests of different people allowed per login), record report usage (which reports they have looked at). This can be from upgrade of Access DB or creating new, I'm easy on that.2. Create web landing pages - I want these to look good so a bit of design work is included here. If you think I'd be better getting a different developer to do the design of the landing pages let me know.3. Link the test page to the sql server db to save the users details & test answers.4. Link the pages after the test page to Worldspan and back to my site.5. When user returns to my site after Worldspan, they land on 'reports page' where they can create, email reports they have made - this page simply lists the tests they have created/taken - this could be for them or their friends or partners so the list will include datetesttaken, firstname, lastname, then a button to view the reports. This button will depend on what they paid for in WOrldspan. I already have a worldspan account. If there is a better free/paypal system I would be happy to [url removed, login to view] this page the users can create reports to view online or to email them to themselves - that means this page must be able to connect to both the sql server database to pick up the previous test results and to the [url removed, login to view] file to produce the reports.

FYI, there are more details under each section of the Bid Request - e.g. you will find more details about the web pages required underneath the ASP.Net C# programming section and more details about the database underneath the database [url removed, login to view] bidder who has not read all the details will not be considered as I will just look at that as [url removed, login to view] winning bidder should provide a clear bulleted list of what deliverables will be included so that I can be sure you understand the requirements in [url removed, login to view] again, Dave.
