I have a great host who has effectively shut down my previous working tracker through an SQL upgrade and not allowing register_globals to be on. I think something can be built by modifying software I have used. I already have an existing user table and a solid idea of what I need. Among other things, simple tracking and cleanup scripts. The current free tracker software I've tried is too bulky for my needs. Simple, simple, simple. I can offer the old software as a starting point, plus an example of what the finished product should look like. The admin cp CANNOT require register_globals to be on. I am definitely open to suggestions on how to make the software more efficient and less resource hungry on the host. Tell me how you can make the old scripts better. There are no language concerns for this project. The only language choice will be English. I'd like the ability to ban certain BT clients in the tracking script, a db query to calculate each user's upload/download speed and display it in certain areas, a "top 50 users" db query for a stats page, a way to hide all front page data from non members, a simple chat window with a few dozen emoticons that I already have, a couple themes for users to choose from (I may have existing themes), 3 user levels; Admin, Uploader, and User with the ability to add any privilige to any user, mass PM and mass e-mail scripts (with the ability to choose one, or all user categories), a Paypal donor script, a db query for current visitors online and visitors in the last 24 hours and an invite system. No ratings scripts, no ratio warn scripts, no wait time scripts, no external tracker functions. Just a simple low resource using tracker. Programmers with above average bittorrent knowledge will have no trouble understanding the functions I have described. I have Yahoo Instant Messenger for real time chat. West Coast of USA - GMT minus 8.
Thank you for looking.
